SyncroB.it Has Arrived!
We’re incredibly excited to be getting the first SyncroB.it Gateways into the hands of our customers, and have gotten great feedback from those that have received them already! Fulfillment is moving full speed ahead, and we expect thousands of gateways on customer doorsteps within the coming weeks. As you prepare for your first gateway, we wanted to give you everything you need to have a successful deployment and loop you in on some exciting new offerings.

Fun fact: SyncroB.it gateways are the smallest of any manufacturer, at nearly half the size of the next smallest gateway on the market.

When you first plug in your average gateway, you’re generally going to have to wait at least 24 hours to sync. With some manufacturers, this can take as long as 7 days. That’s a lot of time to have your gateway doing nothing…but…

That means no down time, no prepping of all your gateways making sure they have good internet and drawing down your data. Just plug it in, and your SyncroB.it is good to go. We run a dedicated gateway that we can pull a snapshot of that gets instantly uploaded to your gateway.
Not only does that mean your setup will be far quicker, but it also means we can catch your gateway up instantly if you ever fall out of sync, whether that’s from moving it, losing power, losing internet, or any of the other challenges life may throw at your gateway dreams.

The simple version is: This is the right antenna for the majority of deployments. 6dBi is the perfect balance between horizontal signal strength and vertical spread. To help you understand how gain (ie. 6dBi in this case) impacts the performance and range of your gotspot, take a look at the figure below:
A 6dBi antenna provides for longer range than a normal stock antenna (3dBi), without overly sacrificing the ability of your radio signal to spread vertically. If you use an antenna with too high of a gain, your gateway may not witness other nearby gateways that are above or below you in elevation, or that are too close. If you use an antenna with gain that’s too low, you may not witness other gateways that you otherwise would’ve.
Many common antennas available on the market currently are one-size-fits-all solutions that are designed to accommodate multiple regions and different frequencies, yet compromise on performance to do so. We produce region-specific antennas with low VSWR (read more here) to optimize performance specifically for your gateway.

Status Update
“Stop your rambling and tell me when I’m getting my Gateway”, yelled an angry crypto-grandad who doesn’t have time for this PR guy.
Okay, the short of it is, the first units have already gone out to customers, and 1000+ more European gateways are expected to leave the factory and be customer-bound by this weekend (the weekend of May 29th).
After that we’ll continue to fulfill units in the coming weeks in the thousands.
FCC testing is expected to be completed by end of month (may), and then take an additional 1–2 weeks for certification processing. Once fully processed, units can start heading out to North American customers right away.
